Okushiga Kogen Hotel is the hotel with the most history in the Shiga Kogen region and we have had many distinguished and famous guests staying and using our facilities.

Our French restaurant "Gendai" is a well-known and respected restaurant in Nagano Prefecture with many guests traveling from afar just to experience it's cuisine.

Shiga Kogen is famous for powder snow conditions and a long ski season - usually open until May!  Okushiga Kogen Ski Resort - the resort just outside the hotel - is a skiers-only resort.  It is the most northerly resort area of Shiga Kogen and gives guests a "private resort" feeling whilst at the same time being connected to the other ski and snowboarding resorts of Shiga Kogen.
