SPECIAL OPTION --- RYOKAN STAY

Guests can Stay at a Ryokan and Experience Traditional Japan

Guests who stay at Okushiga Kogen Hotel for 6 nights or more can take a day trip to stay at a ryokan (traditional Japanese-style inn) in Kanbayashi, Shibu, or Yudanaka Onsen. Guests can take advantage of this offer on any day except Saturdays during their stay at Okushiga Kogen Hotel.

Advantages for guests

  • After arriving at Shiga Kogen, guests can first plan when they want to ski so that they can then flexibly plan off-ski activities.
  • Guests who request the ryokan-stay option by 10:00 am can stay in a ryokan that same night.  This allows guests to plan for an off-ski day after they check what weather will be like.
  • Kanbayashi Onsen, Shibu Onsen, and Yudanaka Onsen are hot springs with long histories. Guests can not only experience a traditional Japanese dinner and soaking in an onsen (hot spring) at a ryokan, but can also enjoy a stroll around the onsen town and relaxing in unique public baths. In addition, the nearby Snow Monkey Park is accessible from these onsen towns.
  • Guests can use their room at Okushiga Kogen Hotel to keep their luggage in during their day trip to a ryokan, so that they can minimize the amount of baggage they have to take with them to the ryokan.
  • Although the rates guest pay at Okushiga Kogen Hotel vary depending on meals and room types, all guests can select at least one ryokan without additional charges.
  • We made an alliance agreement with several different places from reasonably priced and homey ryokan to those with high-end luxury facilities.  Guests can select the ryokan that perfectly matches their needs. (Additional fees may apply)

Option service offering period
